Bui Cong Khanh is a painter, musician, video and performance artist who graduated from the College of Fine Arts in Ho Chi Minh City. His work has been exhibited in all major cities in Vietnam, as well as in France, Korea, Thailand, Cambodia and the US. He has exhibited in international art biennales throughout the world.

Buddhism and Taoism have been strong influences in the life and work of Khanh. In some of his devotional paintings, Chinese calligraphy adorns prayer books or is placed in the heart of a painting to give meaning and significance to the ritual that is being performed.
