Living within three distinct cultures, Çağla has experienced the history and traditions of both east and west. Her work is inspired mostly by the clash of cultures that she embodies. In her canvas and jut works Çağla is inspired by the postcards and chooses to paint inside the borders in order recall the postcard effect.

Çağla Ulusoy (b.1989, Istanbul Turkey) has completed her BA of Visual Arts at Creapole ESDI in Paris in 2013. The same year, she moved to New York where she started attending classes at the Art Student’s League of New York. There, she met American artist Pat Lipsky, worlwide known artist leader in color field painting, who became her mentor for two years and progressed her art practice. She graduated from Royal College of Art, London in 2018 with an MA in painting.
The artist lives and works in Istanbul.
