FABRICE HYBER
b. 1961, French GuianaFabrice Hyber, born in the Vendée, France in 1961, now lives and works in Vendée.
Since his beginning in the ‘80s and as he became one of the youngest Golden Lion recipients at the 1997 Venice Biennial, the artist has been receiving increasing attention on the international stage. He exhibited his works in many prestigious institutional sites both in France and abroad and has been taking part in important international artistic events for over 20 years. He was elected a member of the Académie des Beaux-Arts in 2018.
He has recent solo exhibitions at L’Éponge qui pleure / The Weeping Sponge, ShanghART Gallery, Beijing (2026), Homme de Terre, Kunstmuseum Thurgau, Warth, Switzerland (2026), L’Artiste Agriculteur, Kunstmuseum Thun, Thun, Switzerland (2026), ... de la vallée, Power Station of Art, Shanghai (2025), La Foresta Invisibile, Fondation Louis Vuitton, Venice, Italy (2023), La Vallée, Fondation Cartier, Paris, France (2022), etc.
His works are collected by numerous institutions, including The Centre Pompidou (France), Paris Museum of Modern Art (France), Guastalla Foundation (Italy), Museum of Contemporary Art Antwerp (Belgium), The Museum of Contemporary Art (U.S.A), 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art (Japan), etc.
