Janina Serr
Born 1989, in the south of Germany. Since 2021 she studies Expanded Pictorial Space withDaniel Richter at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.Janina Serr’s artistic focus is primarily on depicting people. Her works are created through blinddrawings, a technique in which the artist deliberately avoids looking at the paper while drawing.Instead, she directs her attention precisely to a given photograph or the live presence of theperson being depicted. Through this approach, Serr aims to create an authentic and resonantdimension in her artworks, allowing the viewer to immerse themselves in a subtle play ofexpression and emotion.
