Kevin Mancera (Bogotá, 1982) has built throughout his career an extensive corpus of images rich ininterpretive nuances and absurd situations. His drawings, illustrations and engravings are based onintimate exercises of observation of the surrounding reality, and are inspired by everyday situationsthat trigger feelings of uprooting, failure and conflict. The psychological complexity of the human being,and the small tragedies of everyday life, give shape to a universe full of sensitivity and humor.His work has been exhibited in cities such as Stuttgart, Amsterdam, Sao Paulo and New York, and ispart of the collections of the Bank of the Republic of Colombia and the Albertina Museum in Vienna.Lives and works in Amsterdam.
