Kim Sangso Biography

Kim Sangso (B. 1996) examines the scalability and sustainability of painting through the exploration of the components of material painting. Kim regards painting as something more than just images mixed in a sea of photos and films, but a genre of rich history as an art that predates all others. His work reveals his concerns and thoughts regarding the future of painting.

Kim Sangso graduated from Hongik University's Department of Painting and is pursuing a master's degree in Fine Art at the Seoul National University of Science and Technology. He was the selected artist of G Gallery's 2022 Great Exhibition program and has participated in group shows at PS Sarubia, Art Space Hyeong, and EveryArt.
