Maxine Attard Biography

Maxine Attard (b. 1986) is a University of Brighton graduate, with an MA in Fine Arts, and is based in Malta and Germany. Attard works in multiple media including works on paper, works on wood and site-specific installations. Her studio practice revolves around ritual and repetition and is as much about introspection and self-analysis as it is about form and composition.

Solo exhibitions include In Between Obliterations at The Mill supported by Gabriel Caruana Foundation (2017). Commissions include Inhabit commissioned by Pjazza Teatru Rjal and funded by the Malta Arts Council (2016). Selected group exhibitions include Afterminimalism (2019) and Here&Now 01 (2018) at Valletta Contemporary, Bodyless at The Maritime Museum, Birgu, Malta (2016) and Mediterranea 17, Young Artists Biennale, Milan, Italy (2015).
