Monali Meher graduated from Sir J.J. School of Arts, Mumbai, 1990.
In 1998 she received ‘Unesco -Aschberg’ Residency in Vienna, and did her first performance, Reflect, A personal window display, Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai.
She participated in 2000-2001, Residency at Rijksakademie Van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam. In 2006, she performed at Tate Modern museum, London in Mapping Mumbai event, and her work was shown at Nederlands Een group show in Gouda Museum, Holland, Dadao international performance festival, Beijing, China and 1st Sinop Biennale, Turkey in 2007, 2010 National review on live art, Glasgow.
In 2008 she exhibited at Rijksmuseum Twenthe & performed at Khoj Live, New Delhi. In 2009 she received the support of Mondriaan foundation for the performance, In Determination, Art Dubai. She participated in the show Rebelle (Art & Feminism) at MMKA Museum in Arnhem & had solo shows in Project 88, Mumbai & Lumen Travo, Amsterdam.
She received LIVE Fonds by funds BKVB, Amsterdam.
Since year 2000, she lives and works in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
