Patricia France attended the New York School of Interior Design (1928-1930).
Influenced by seeing works by masters of Post-Impressionism she began painting at 55 years of age, corresponding with artists such as Colin McCahon and M.T. Woollaston and exhibiting with Anna Caselberg and Ralph Hotere.
France’s work is held in the collection of the Hocken Library, Dunedin, New Zealand.
