Hood had his first solo exhibition in 2000 and since then has exhibited extensively throughout New Zealand. Since 2010 he has held exhibitions in Christchurch at Dog Park, Jonathan Smart Gallery and The Physics Room, whilst also participating in a range of group exhibitions including: Tricksters (part of Rolling Maul) at the Christchurch Art Gallery in 2012; Prospect: New Zealand Art Now at Wellington City Gallery, 2011; From a City Forsaken by its Gods at Firstdraft Gallery, Sydney, 2011; and Last Ride in a Hot Air Balloon, 4th Auckland Triennial, 2010.
