Shabnam Jahanshahi (born 1984, Tehran, Iran) holds a bachelor’s degree in painting from Al-Zahra University and a master’s degree in painting from the Art University of Isfahan. She has held two solo exhibitions and several group exhibitions. Jahanshahi often works with the medium of drawing and embroidery, and she pays special attention to portraiture. In her series of artworks, Jahanshahi generally deals with the issues concerning gender and identity. In her new series, she has experimented with installation.
