Stefanie Popp (b. 1974, Bonn, Germany) is a contemporary artist whose practice spans painting, installation, and collaborative projects.
Popp’s work explores perception, memory, and the interplay between narrative and abstraction, often weaving in humour and subversion. She frequently collaborates with other artists, integrating performative and site-specific elements that challenge conventional exhibition formats.
Popp’s visual language combines vivid color, dynamic forms, and playful conceptual frameworks, creating immersive experiences that oscillate between the poetic and the absurd. Her practice interrogates how personal and collective histories are constructed, remembered, and reimagined, emphasizing the subjective lens through which we experience the world.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, with solo exhibitions in Turin, Cologne, and Dallas, and group exhibitions across Europe and the United States. Popp has collaborated with artists such as Michael Bauer and Mark Van Yetter, expanding her practice into performative and conceptual frameworks.
