Barbara Pollack is an award-winning writer, art critic and curator who has been covering the art scene in China since 2004. This spring, her exhibition MULTIPLY—Power in Numbers opened at Shanghai MAM, and in 2022 she curated Mirror Image: A Transformation in Chinese Identity at the Asia Society Museum in New York. Bloomsbury published her most recent book, Brand New Art from China: A Generation on the Rise, in 2018. Additionally, Pollack is the co-founder and co-director of Art at a Time Like This, an organisation that provides platforms for artists to comment on the pressing issues of the 21st century.
