Julie Ault is an artist, curator, editor, and writer focused on mobilising materials and information to animate and archive underestimated cultural histories. Her projects include exhibitions, publications, writing, and historical chronicles. Ault co-founded the New York City-based artists' collaborative Group Material, active from 1979 to 1996. She was named a MacArthur Fellow in 2018.
