ACC CREATORS 2025 Residency Announces Open Call
By National Asian Culture Center – 3 April 2025, Gwangju

The National Asian Culture Center (ACC) has announced an open call for the ACC CREATORS 2025 Residency through 30 April 2025.

Established in 2015, the ACC CREATORS Residency is an interdisciplinary programme supporting innovative projects at the intersection of art, science, and technology.

The 2025 edition centers on the theme ‘The Intelligence Age’, encouraging creators to explore the societal, artistic, and technological impact of artificial intelligence and data on the contemporary world. Participants will investigate emergent forms of intelligence and propose new ways for humans to coexist with hybrid digital-physical landscapes.

The residency will support eight projects across five categories: Art & Technology, Kinetic Media, Audiovisual, Mixed Reality, and Immersive Sound. Selected projects will receive KRW 20–30 million for production funding, studio access, technical resources, and expert consultation.

Residents will work at ACC’s ACT Studio in Gwangju, a space dedicated to experimentation in digital, sonic, and spatial media. Final works will be exhibited during a public showcase beginning 25 November 2025 as part of the ACC’s 10th anniversary celebrations.
