Zhai Liang was born in Shanxi Province in 1983, and is currently based in Beijing. He Graduated from the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts in 2006. Afterwards, he continued his study in the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and received an M. A. Zhai Liang’s creation is always related to literature and sociology. Perhaps some people will find the traces of the Belgian painter Michaël Borremans. Maybe it is because that their creations both reveal a kind of simplicity and calm. In Zhai Liang’s creation, characters and scenes are all as simple as possible, with a moderate style, his works present the seemingly insignificant details in a solemn way, each of them is a dapper fable.
