Press Release

For Tokyo Gendai 2026, BANGKOK CITYCITY GALLERY presents Still, Moving, bringing together five artists whose photographic practices attend to what changes, disappears, and remains: Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Chantana Tiprachart, Harit Srikhao, Miti Ruangkritya, and Tanatchai Bandasak. Across shifting light, fleeting rituals, historical sites, dreams and memories, displacement, and material transformation, the works consider photography not as a means of fixing a moment in time, but as a space where different times and places can meet. Between stillness and movement, an image may carry the trace of what has passed, hold the possibility of presence within absence, or open toward something not yet formed—allowing time to continue through the image.
