Bettina Pousttchi produces the works from this series from commercially available tree guards, which she shapes individually using a large industrial press and welds into pairs or larger groups. The lacquered silk-matte surface gives the sculptures a wonderful flowing and elegant form and makes all traces of the mechanical intervention in the material disappear. The title is in each case a first name referring to a street name in Berlin.
