Press Release
Pearl Lam Galleries is excited to present Ged Quinn’s first solo exhibition in Hong Kong, Rose, Cherry, Iron Rust, Flamingo. Widely regarded as one of the leading painters in Britain, Quinn uses trompe l’oeil montage images to create illusionary landscapes that border in between the familiar and the surreal. For Quinn, painting offers an open theatre to investigate politics, literature, philosophy, and cultural memory and to employ established historical art canons to subvert ideas that have governed our perception of painting.
