Antoni Arola’s artistic research gravitates around an essential and inmaterial element: light. It does so in both its absence and its presence, whether natural or artificial. From this dialogue with light – and its interaction with space – he seeks to appeal to the viewer’s visual perception, inviting them to immerse themselves in a new world: intangible, poetic and always open to new interpretations.
To this end, his work responds to the eternal search for beauty. A search that is intuitive and permeable to chance. A search inspired fundamentally by ancestral cultures, digital codes and fortuitous encounters. The method is the game, and the maxim: the use of as few elements as possible. Beyond light and space, colour is another of his constants.
His long career dedicated to the exploration of light has led him to exhibit around the world and receive several awards and accolades. Antoni combines his artistic practice with commercial projects and teaching.
