Ben Arpéa is a French-Italian artist born in Paris in 1989.
Coming from a family of collectors and art dealers, Ben Arpea grew up in a rich artistic universe and it is therefore natural that he has a passion for art. Self-taught, he first learned about design by creating lamps and handicrafts made of elementary materials such as concrete before turning to drawing and painting.
His abstract paintings composed of colorful geometric shapes are inspired by modern painters, such as Miro, whom he particularly admires. Ben Arpea’s particularity is to paint on jute and linen canvases without frame accentuating the raw side of his style. Through the assembly of geometric forms, his works are warm and spontaneous.
