GABRIEL MADAN
b. 1993, United StatesGabriel Madan (Miami, FL) lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. He received his BFA in Printmaking from the University of Miami (2015) and his MFA from ArtCenter College of Art and Design, Pasadena (2020). Madan’s work has recently been exhibited via LAND Frame Rate, The Renaissance Society, Kristina Kite Gallery, and Gattopardo. Madan’s paintings explore the circuitous likeness between animal and human experiences. Always colourful and often cartoonish, friendly beasts pantomime the bruise of being. Like history paintings of fabulist nightmares, Madan’s work presents the uneasy pathos of glittering anxiety.
