Gerhard Lang (1963) studied at the Art School at the University of Kassel and at the Slade School of Fine Art in London. He took part in the Venice Biennale in 1995 and in documenta 14 in Kassel in 2017. He showed in numerous other venues such as Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, PS1 New York City, Deutsches Museum in Munich, Hayward Gallery in London, Canadian Center for Architecture (CCA) in Montreal, Frankfurter Kunstverein, Museum Moderner Kunst Klagenfurth (Austria) and the Museums Quartier in Vienna. Both Gerhard Lang’s art work and his teaching are essentially interdisciplinary.
