b. 2014, AustraliaTaking everyday object as his subject, Glenn Sorensen's paintings of geraniums, toiletries and Buddhas are reminiscent of flash-photographs that trap the subject within the viewer's gaze. His still lives have been described as portraits while his portraits appear as still lives. His paintings evoke a sense of mystery yet are often reduced to simply forms. Sorensen studied at Helsinki Academy of Fine Arts and has exhibited in London at the the Pump House Gallery, the Musee d'Art Contemporain in Bordeaux, and Den Frie in Copenhagen.
