GORDON CROOK

Gordon Crook Biography

Crook attended the Central School of Art, London, arriving in New Zealand in 1972. His paintings, prints and tapestries reveal an individual style formed by the influences of European Modernism and British Pop Art.

Masterly compositions and playful use of colour and shapes created a wonderful language that he was able to apply to a wide range of media.

Work is held in the collection of the Museum of New Zealand - Te Papa Tongarewa.
