Heaven Baek studied Media Arts in Melbourne, and moved to Glasgow to received her MFA. Her practice explores how people work, gather and play in various situations or during particular occasions, forming groups and outlining territories. Then she visualizes how we form each other in interactive works, as communicator and producer (viewers and participants) make no such in differences. Her projects been shown around internationally including Glasgow, Tokyo, Paris, Seoul, Reykjavik, Barcelona among others. Recent exhibitions include “Sound of Community”, Arko Art Center(2015), and Caesura, Glasgow International (2014). Also, she has participated in Artist-in-Residence programmes internationally, including at Museum of Modern and Contempraroy Art, South Korea (2015), Arts Maebashi, Japan (2014) and Hangar, Spain (2011).
