Ramon Enrich’s work unfolds at the intersection of architecture, painting, and spatial imagination. His compositions depict silent landscapes inhabited by geometric buildings, simplified vegetation, and empty spaces where architecture becomes both subject and metaphor. Drawing inspiration from Rationalist architecture, Mediterranean vernacular constructions, and the metaphysical atmospheres of Giorgio de Chirico, Enrich creates timeless settings in which perspective, colour, and scale are subtly manipulated to produce a sense of quiet tension. Human figures are conspicuously absent, yet their presence is implied through the spaces they have left behind. Working across painting, sculpture and collage, Enrich reduces forms to their essential geometry, allowing composition, light, and colour to become vehicles for exploring memory, perception, and the symbolic power of architecture. His works balance formal precision with poetic ambiguity, transforming familiar architectural elements into contemplative and dreamlike scenarios.
Ramon Enrich studied Fine Arts and Art History at the University of Barcelona, following which he was awarded numerous scholarships to study abroad. Early in his career, he travelled extensively through the United States, spending time at the Donald Judd Foundation and Chinati Foundation in Marfa, collaborating with David Hockney in Los Angeles, and working briefly in Julian Schnabel’s New York studio. For more than three decades, Enrich has exhibited internationally with galleries and institutions across Europe, Asia, and the United States, including recent solo exhibitions at Cadogan Gallery (London and Milan) and Richard Koh Fine Art (Singapore). His work is held in major public and private collections worldwide, including the Fondation Hermès (Paris), the Deutsche Bank Collection (Frankfurt), the Donald Judd Collection (Marfa), and the private collections of David Hockney (Los Angeles) and Norman Foster (London).
