Roy Good Biography

Roy Good studied at Ilam School of Fine Arts in Christchurch from 1963 - 1965 before moving to Auckland.

In the 1970s, he was one of a group including Milan Mrkusich, Phillip O’Sullivan, Ian Scott, Geoff Thornley and Gordon Walters, who worked to create abstract art that was in the context of international Modernism. They were championed in this by art dealer and gallery owner Petar Vuletic.

His work continues in these values that are embodied in works of abstract and architectonic construction.
