TAMARA HADDAD
b. 1982, LebanonBorn in Beirut in 1982, Tamara Haddad graduated in Art Direction for Advertising from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts. Raised in a home where art was ever-present, thanks to her father, one of the pioneers of modern architecture in Lebanon, she taught herself to paint during her studies and while working in advertising agencies. In 2011, she devoted herself entirely to painting. A photography enthusiast, Tamara Haddad draws inspiration from the photos she takes during her numerous travels in Asia, Europe, and especially in Lebanon, during her mountain hikes. Deeply concerned about the polluted environment we live in, her work primarily focuses on the physical transformations the Earth is undergoing today (deforestation, wildfires, climate change, etc.) while emphasizing its beauty, the richness of its landscapes, and its vibrant colors.
In addition to oil and acrylic painting, she incorporates natural materials such as sand, dead leaves, branches, tree bark, and straw into her work.
