In the work if Yuli Yamagata softness is paramount. Her universe is populated by multi-coloured synthetic fabrics sewn and stuffed together. The artist treats with humor materials that pretend to be other materials, pointing to a way of being in the world in which the true and the false commute, but do not oppose each other. Body parts such as mouths, legs and feet are recurring images.
