This discussion looks at the idea of deprogramming, and the possibility of transforming our relationship with time and the places of waiting.

The artist Benoît Piéron, whose work ‘Laundrette’ is on show in the ‘Coming Soon’ exhibition, discusses these issues with the philosopher Sandrine Gasparine Alexandre, author of ‘L’attente ou l’art de perdre patience’.

About the Artist

Benoît Piéron (b. Ivry-sur-Seine) was born with meningi-tis, and treated for leukaemia as a kid. In the 1970s and 1980s, 4,689 people with haemophilia and other bleeding disorders were infected with HIV and hepatitis viruses through the use of contaminated clotting factors – Piéron was one of these peo-ple, and whilst he did not become seropositive, his body became more political.
