Foundwork is pleased to announce the open call for its 2024 Artist Prize, an annual juried grant for emerging and mid-career artists working in any media.
Now in its sixth year, the award includes an unrestricted U.S. $10,000 grant and studio visits with five esteemed jurors. In addition, the awardee and three shortlisted artists will be invited to participate in long-form interviews as part of Foundwork’s Dialogues programme.
The 2024 jury includes curators, gallerists, and artists. They are: Rachel Uffner, founder of Rachel Uffner Gallery, New York; Olivia Aherne, Curator at Chisenhale Gallery, London; Monsieur Zohore, multidisciplinary artist based between Richmond, New York, and Abidjan in Côte d’Ivoire; Mohamed Almusibli, Director and Curator of Kunsthalle Basel; Lorraine Kiang, cofounder of Kiang Malingue Gallery, Hong Kong.
The Foundwork Artist Prize is open to artists residing anywhere in the world, with limited exceptions.
To be considered, artists will need to register and maintain a profile on the Foundwork website, including at least six artworks and an artist statement, for the duration of the 2024 selection period—from 11:59pm PT on September 26, 2024 to 11:59pm PT on December 31, 2024.
