Organised by the Juming Museum, Here-Elsewhere: Eight Enchantments to Transmute Time and Space will open at Kunstquartier Bethanien Studio 1, Berlin, from 8 February to 2 March 2025. The exhibition is curated by Liu Chu-Lan and features sculptural works by contemporary Taiwanese artists Chang Nai-Wen, Kang Yachu, Lin Shu-Kai, Lin Yu-Cheng, Liu Chien-Wei, Liu Po-Chun, Tu Wei-Cheng, and Wu Meng-Chang.
In the exhibition, the artists explore memories, history, and future possibilities across various materials. Presented as distinct ‘enchantments,’ their works invite viewers to engage with different times and spaces, highlighting the dynamic interplay between ‘here’ and ‘elsewhere’.
Curator Liu Chu-Lan is currently a professor at the Department of Sculpture, National Taiwan University of Arts. She has previously served as the director of the Taoyuan Museum of Fine Arts.
The Juming Museum was founded in New Taipei City by the prominent Taiwanese sculptor Ju Ming (1938–2023). Since opening its doors to the public in 1999, the museum has been dedicated to collecting, researching, and promoting sculpture.
