Alzueta Gallery is pleased to present Material de Construcció(‘Construction Material’) by Jordi Alcaraz. A retrospective exhibition opening on June 22nd, occupying the main hall of the Palau de Casavells during the summer months. The exhibition offers an immersion into the artist’s creative world, conceived as a journey through his studio. Visitors will be able to explore different stages of his career, from his iconic scores and volumes of rescued books to his early ventures into ceramics. Each work by Alcaraz reflects his mastery in combining visual poetry and conceptual projection, inviting us to discover the details of the creative process behind each artwork.
The artist draws an invisible line between visual poetry and conceptual projection, and proposes to the viewer an unprecedented, surprising and metaphorical relationship with the world. Multidisciplinary hybridisation, in which the speech of Alcaraz, emerged from the classical plastic tradition, meditating on volume, language and time through the use of certain materials such as water, glass, mirror, pigment, book or the stone.
