Choi Byung-So
b. 1943, South KoreaByung-so Choi invented his own methodology of erasing the newspaper with pen and explored the cross-section of monochrome painting and the avant-garde of modern art at once. His context includes the authenticity he has tried to maintain as an artist. His practice of erasing the text of the newspaper transforms the materiality of the method as well as reflects upon the zeitgeist.
