In ”Untitled 6”, the painter’s gesture on the canvas encounters the viewer’s gaze with the power of a shockwave. Richard Zinon opens and closes an infinite series of possibilities in his paintings, bringing to an end the entire cycle of creation that was essential until that moment—assembly, preparation, composition, Yet, it is through this encounter that the cycle of reactions begins—emotion, light, reflection.

In the contrast of colours, the depth of planes, the nuance of traces, the fading of tones, and the emergence of shadows, each piece of his work carries the strength of the moment of their creation, representing an endless journey across doubt and certainty.

About the Artist

Richard Zinon was born in Manchester in 1985 and is currently living and working in Snowdonia, North Wales. Zinon studied at ‘The Angel Academy of Art’ before continuing his education at the renowned ‘Academia di Belle Arti’ in Florence. He has since nurtured his interest in numerous artforms including print-making and Japanese ceramics. He has exhibited across the continent including at numerous art fairs, and his works are collected worldwide.
