ALEKSANDRA SIDOR

Aleksandra Sidor (b. 1991, Lublin, Poland) lives and works in Poland. She completed her education at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Bournemouth, developing a visual style infused with poststructuralism, psychoanalytic theories, Polish avant-garde creations, and contemporary symbolist artworks. Sidor’s artistic endeavors present thought-provoking artworks that explore the realms of perception, consciousness, morality, and trauma. Employing a highly decorative visual language, irony, and a surrealistic sense of the uncanny, Sidor frequently draws inspiration from various psychoanalytic writings, vintage illustrations, and societal, cultural, and political shifts. Her practice revolves around the transformative dynamics resulting from the intersection of bodies with other entities and the ensuing power dynamics.
