Motivated by the dynamism of the landscape, Struble investigates what is altered by humans, reclaimed by nature, and the result of their symbiotic interaction. Recent projects include a solo exhibition at the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library in La Jolla, California, and commissions from the Google Campus in San Diego, California, and the Palo Alto Public Art Commission in Palo Alto, California. She was recently awarded a residency at Saiko Neon outside of Tokyo, Japan (2023).
Eva Struble __(b. 1981 Elsmere, Kentucky) lives and works in San Diego, California. Struble’s work has been shown at Wassaic Project in New York, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, Cleveland MOCA, Lombard Freid in New York, and Angles Gallery in Santa Monica, along with public projects at the San Diego Airport, the New Children’s Museum, and the San Diego County Operations Center.
Selected residencies include the Vermont Studio Center, the Headlands Center for the Arts, and the Andratx Cultural Center in Mallorca. Struble received a BA in Visual Arts from Brown University and an MFA from Yale University School of Art. She is an Associate Professor of Painting and Printmaking at San Diego State University.
