Magician Space is pleased to present the solo exhibition of artist Qianyu Li. Bornin 1995 in Linhe, Inner Mongolia, she grew up in Beijing, studied in London, thenNew York, and currently lives and works in Lisbon. Based on her global migratorylife experience, Li’s practice explores the connections between things from theperspective of poem and movie, reflecting the diverse geographical and culturalenvironments. Her work is primarily presented as diptych paintings, the two-part format expanding beyond the single pictorial plane, disrupting the pictorialand narrative spaces. Li imagines the potential connection of things in reality,reopening the closed forms and meanings and connecting the separated worlds.
