Michael Goedhuis on Yao Jui-chung
Michael Goedhuis and GalleryLOG reunite to bring another compelling 2-minute video on contemporary Chinese ink art. In this installment, Michael Goedhuis discusses Taiwanese artist Yao Jui-chung - born in 1969 in Taipei and coming of age in the 1990s - who is one of the most prolific artistic practitioners of his generation. As an artist, his work includes installation, photography, performance, video, works on paper and sculpture. His adversity, driven by his boundless energy and determination, can only be compared to a few of his peers. Yao is also a curator, art critic and art historian ardently promoting Taiwanese contemporary art domestically and internationally.
