Amit Mehra, one of the leading photographers of India, has been specialising in architectural , advertising and documentary photography since the past twenty-five years. Besides having worked for numerous international publications & agencies including Time, Der Spiegel, Elle, Elle Décor, Architectural Digest Condensate, Gallerie and National Geographic and agencies, Amit’s photos have been widely exhibited in New York, London ,Tokyo, Madrid, Melbourne, Dhaka, Delhi and Mumbai. Some of his photographs are also in the permanent collection of the Gabbaron Foundation, Spain and the Sagamihara Museum in Japan.
His book ‘India, A Timeless Celebration’ won him the prestigious award, ‘Best Photographer of the Year – Asia’, given by the Sagamihara Museum, Japan. His most recent book, ‘Kashmir’, has been highly acclaimed for its stark and deeply personal take on the region. Actively involved in mentoring young photographers, he is currently working on two new photo books, ‘Sufis: Messengers of Peace’ and ‘Roznaama’.
