SZELIT CHEUNG
b. 1988, ChinaThe interdisciplinary work of Hong Kong-based artist Szelit Cheung ranges from painting, drawing and photography to sculpture and installation. He captures his attentive and subtle observations of light variations, forms and structural compositions with oil paint on canvas or wood. In Cheung’s work, fleeting space-light situations fan out into manifold shades and complex depths of color. The mostly small-format works move on the edge between figuration and abstraction.
