Installation-painting artist Eunjeong Choi graduated with BFA in Painting at Incheon Catholic University in 2004 and completed her MFA at Hong-Ik Universit in 2018. EunJeong’s wild, illusionary oil paintings create cityscapes with kaleidoscopic forms. In a manner that can be likened to Maya Hayuk and Jen Stark, Choi creates both neat and muddied reflections on color, cascading in two and three dimensions. The picturesque scenery is depicted as plants existing in an artificial environment. The work involves the visualization of the imperfect world of plants in a dynamic and vivid manner. She received awards for her work - Soorim Art Prize, Danwon Art Prize, Ghasong Art Award, and Joongang Fine Art Prize.
