Gunilla Klingberg Biography

Gunilla Klingberg, was born in 1966 and is based in Stockholm, Sweden. In 1997 she received her degree at the Konstfack University College Of Arts, Crafts and Design at the Department of Sculpture after visiting the RMI-Berghs studying Magazine and Newspaper Design until 1989.

Recent solo exhibitions include Times Museum, Guangzhou, China (2016), A Sign in Space at the Åhus museum, Sweden (2015), Malmö Konsthall, Sweden (2014), Bonniers Konsthall, Stockholm (2009) and Kiasma, Helsinki (2004). She participated in the Venice Biennial (with Peter Geschwind) (2003), the Istanbul Biennial (2007), the Curitiba Biennial, Brazil (2013), the 1st Biennial of Art, Nature and Urbanism, Gernika, Bermeo, Spain (2012) and the Biennale for International Light Art, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany (2010). Most recent public commissions include Kristianstads Rådhus, Sweden (2014), Hjorthagen pathway (Stockholm Konst), Sweden (2013), commissioned work for Murman Arkitekter, Norra Djurgårdsstaden, Sweden (2012-2013), a window work at Tamest Skolan in Järna, Södertälje, Sweden (2012) and Citytunneln, Triangeln train station in Malmö (2010). In 2016 she participated in the Gwangju Biennale, South Korea and held a solo show at Eskilstuna Konsthall, Sweden.
