Born in 1991 in Seoul, South Korea, Hansaem Kim creates unique three-dimensional paintings that are fantastical and bizarre. Painting characters and symbols inspired by the colourful imagery from religious mythology, cartoons, and video games, the Korean artist is interested in bringing his interpretations of fictional characters into the physical world.
In 2013, she received BA in Video & Moving Image from Hongik University, Seoul. In 2016, MA in Multimedia from Korea National University of Arts, Seoul, and in 2018, a Master in Film specialising in directing from HEAD-Genève/ECAL.
