b. 1952, United StatesJim Shaw was born in 1952 in Midland, Michigan, and lives and works in Los Angeles. He has had major solo exhibitions at the New Museum, New York (2015–2016); Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead, England (2012); and Los Angeles County Museum of Art (2012). Collections include the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; and Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
