Since 2007, Susanne Kühn (painter) and Inessa Hansch (architect and urban planner) cooperate and realise joint projects.Inessa Hansch and Susanne Kühn unite in their idiosyncratic objects architecture and painting. Through the spatial composition of two-dimensional plates within a three-dimensional wooden structure an exciting and tension-filled correlation is generated between the two artistic forms of expression that interpret proportions, perspective, volume, light and colour in different ways.
While the wooden construction creates the space and frame for the paintings it also simultaneously gives structure to the fore- and background and determines the order of the paintings. Through the organisation of the room, a certain light ratio is created and a scale defined between object and viewer.
The painting on the other hand reacts to the spatial arrangement through colour, light, composition and perspective. It can change the proportions, colour the light, widen, unravel or diminish the generated physical structure of the wooden construction. The motif of the painting translates the legibility of the spatial succession of paintings and wooden panels.
Through the consolidation of architecture and painting a new image space comes into being which generates an endless multitude of changing stereograms only through the movement of the viewer.
