WANG HENG

Wang Heng, born in 1992 in Sichuan, China, graduated from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute with a master’s degree in 2019. She currently lives and works in Chengdu. Wang’s works are full of emotional distance and social indifference, and she often reconsiders and explores the issue of image dissemination and violent conflicts in modern society through simple compositions, cold images, and transforming the complex social messages behind the images. This sense of technical disconnect and indirection creates emotional uncertainty for the viewer. Wang’s reconstruction of images, memories, or events also allows her to refocus on questioning and criticizing public discourse, and allows the viewer to think about the strangeness, confusion, and uneasiness of today’s multiple realities from a more rational perspective .Her work was awarded a bronze medal in the opening exhibition of Minsheng Art Museum in Beijing in 2015.
