Andrea Geyer’s Manifesto (Banners / Gropius Bau / Berlin) places the voices of the visitors at the centre. The installation will be on display in the atrium and at the entrance to the Gropius Bau from July 2024, exploring the question of what museums and exhibition spaces can offer as public places in Berlin’s current social and political landscape. The banners embroidered with text address the impermeability of institutions and allow these voices to repeatedly form a collective space.

The Berliner Festspiele, founded in 1951, is a multidisciplinary cultural institution that realises and presents festivals, exhibitions and other event formats in the Haus der Berliner Festspiele, the Gropius Bau and many other Berlin venues.
