Some 200 artists have contributed artworks for an upcoming auction that will raise funds for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), also known as Doctors Without Borders.

‘We stand as a collective voice in support of MSF and the work they are doing in Gaza and West Bank,’ the organising artists said in a statement. ‘We want to use our connections and friendships as artists to help this essential cause at a desperate time.’

Works by high profile artists including Antony Gormley, Mona Hatoum, and Richard Long will be exhibited at 14 Wharf Road in London, with a reception on 22 November. Online bidding will open on the fundraiser’s website from 18 November to 1 December.

MSF aims to provide lifesaving medical care and clean water to as many Palestinians as possible, donating medical supplies and working in hospitals, many of which are damaged or no longer functioning.

Dr Natalie Roberts, Executive Director of MSF UK, said, ‘we are deeply moved and grateful for the generosity of this collective of artists who have come together to support the work of Médecins Sans Frontières in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT). Their creativity and commitment are a testament to the power of art to inspire compassion and solidarity.’

‘These funds will have a direct impact on our ability to provide immediate life-saving medical care to some of the most marginalised people in society, Roberts continued. ‘On behalf of MSF, thank you for standing with us and the people of OPT in these challenging times.’ —[O]
